A short Video of the event
Fish Camp 2014
The first fish camp put on by PAKA was very successful for those taking part, pity there were not more juniors taking part. The success of the camp was due to the efforts put in by Alan Duthie, Clive Jones, Richard and Ali Jones and Paul Shackley. Alan and Clive did all the organising, driving the minibus, picking up the juniors, sorting out the food and tents and then coaching the juniors. Paul joined in and gave some one-to-one tuition in rig making. Ali Jones was camp organiser and head chef, lovely grub. Richard also played a very important part in camp life.
'I would like to thank PAKA their helpers and sponsors for a fantastic weekend for my little ones to go fishing. A well organised and planned trip. They thoroughly enjoyed learning new skills and putting them into practice. They can't wait for next year.... Just hope it's not as wet!
Kind regards. A very happy parent'.
A big thank you must go to our sponsors:
Matt & Sian Taylor for allowing PAKA to take over Heol Down Farm, Llanybri for the tents and casting tuition, and the loan of their BBQ, all free of charge. They were very very good and willing to help out with letting the kids feed the animals and collect the eggs.
Angela & 12 Knights Hotel for the provision of all the camping equipment.
Mainwarings Tackle Shop for the supplying all the bait at a very reasonable price.
NSA Afan for the gift of a laptop computer.
