Autumn's Dream Team

Fishing trip to Kilmore Quay, Ireland

PictureClive Jones, what a Pollack
A party of 22 PAKA members went to Kilmore Quay, Ireland for 3 days sea fishing in the last week of June. They stayed at their usual B&B, Quay House and were very well looked after Siobhan Maguire. The hotel is very well equipped for the travelling anglers with facilities that include a wet room with refrigeration and gutting tables for cleaning the catch, all rooms have TV and tea making facilities and are very comfortable. Breakfast is a traditional Irish fare.
Under the supervision of Autumn Dream skipper Eamonn Hayes and Enterprise skipper Dick Hayes the fishing was absolutely fantastic, a total of 2510 fish were caught over the tree days. Now we know why Eamonn and Dick are 2 of Ireland's most prolific and sought after skippers.
The catch total comprised 767 Pollack, 54 Ballan Wrasse, 1057 Cod, 11 Pouting, 2 Whiting, 528 Coalfish, 39 Cuckoo Wrasse, 20 Ling, 14 Gurnard, and 20 other species. Clive Jones was the overall winner with 1547 points.

The photos were taken by Ashley Hayden, many thanks Ashley. Ashley has his own website: http://www.anirishanglersworld.com which is well worth a look at.
Dai "the shop" Williams organised this the 19th annual trip to Kilmore Quay.
